Luke Mason
Luke completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Sports Management and Marketing) at Deakin University and is currently the Executive Director, Strategic Infrastructure and Sport Economy at Sport and Recreation Victoria.
The Executive Director provides leadership in strategic planning, business planning, project management, and the provision of high-level advice to the Victorian Government on sport facilities and matters, focusing on ongoing development of the State’s national and international sporting competition and event facilities.
The role oversees the responsibility for a range of high-value high-risk (HVHR) major sporting and events projects through both infrastructure and program delivery and is the primary contact for the professional sports portfolio.
Prior to his current role, Luke has worked in the sports administration sector spending time at both Cricket and Cycling Victoria in the junior development areas.
Luke is passionate about sport and education currently coaching his son’s junior cricket and football teams whilst also assisting with his daughter’s basketball commitments.
